It is from that demographic that we wish to add a new member. While twenty-two of our managers have been TCBA members for at least ten years, five of us are in the 25-to-40-year old category. The TCBA plays a full 162-game season, with an 8-team playoff culminating with the final rounds played during the annual meeting. The TCBA features continuous ownership of a 35-man roster, a written constitution, and an informative league web site (īoth a rookie auction and free agent draft are conducted at the annual TCBA meeting held in March, typically in Harrisburg, PA. Openings are rare in TCBA, but we do have one team available now. The Twenty-First Century Baseball Association - The TCBA is a stable 24-team BBWin league in existence since 1975. Gary's Yankees would sweep Jim's Cubs, in the 2 game series, and from that point on the two teams went on completely different trajectories. Jim Fraasch's 1935 Cubs took the 1998 Yankees to 13 innings in game 1 of 10, before losing. I had the honor of losing to Gary's 1998 Yankees in the first division series of the day. Mariano Rivera kept Dave's A's from coming back in the 9th, as Gary Borthwick and his 1998 Yankees win the TCABT-X Championship! Congratulations to Gary for his first TCABT Championship, and congratulations to Dave for his runner-up performance, in back-to-back tournaments (he finished runner up last April in TCABT-IX, with the 1938 Yankees). Homer Bush hits a 2-run PH homer to put the Yankees up, 4-3. Game 3, for all the marbles, came down to Gary's Yankees trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the 8th.
Dave's A's evened the series at 1-1 with a 3-2 nail biter. The championship came down to Gary Borthwick's 1998 Yankees (#2 seed) vs Dave Norlander's 1911 A's (#6 seed).
